The Center for Neurosciences (CNS) Clinical Research Program is dedicated to delivering excellence in Neuroscience research. Board-Certified Neurologists and Child Neurologists are expert in their specialties and have extensive research experience in a broad range of neurologic diseases affecting adults and children. Therapeutic areas include epilepsy (both Adult and Pediatric), Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis and autism spectrum disorders. Our Research Program is located within the Center for Neurosciences, Southern Arizona's largest medical practice involved in the neurosciences. All of our Principal Investigators are certified in Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects Protection. Our study coordinators are SOCRA/ACRP certified and together have over 20 years of clinical trial experience. We partner with various medical specialists when consultations or services are required for research protocols. Our contracted, Board-Certified Psychologists perform a variety of psychometric assessments in adults and children. Our facility has on-site radiology, neurophysiology, and an infusion suite. The research department provides all the services and equipment needed to conduct phase II-IV clinical trials, including a laboratory, a -20C freezer, secure study drug storage, an ECG machine and a monitor room with internet access. CNS has collaborated with numerous Pharmaceutical Companies and Contract Research Organizations on pivotal clinical trials. By utilizing centralized IRBs, we are able to offer expeditious study start-up. With over 20 providers in the group practice, we have access to an extensive patient base from which to draw. Our site is frequently early-enrolling and we typically meet or exceed enrollment goals.
